This past week, me and my guy celebrated 9 years married. And when I say celebrated - I mean we put the kids to bed early, sat down to home cooked dinner and a glass of red and watched netflix. It was perfect. Our perfect.

Here's the thing - 9 years is a looong time. As a patient reminded me - we're nearing the end of a decade and almost all of that decade was spent with this guy. That seems crazy to me!

And after 9 years...and a whole load of crap we've been through - we've managed to come through still holding hands - albeit with a few scrapes and bruises. We’re still in one piece.

Putting all marital war wounds aside, I truly would not be able to do what I do and have built what I built without the behind the scenes support of this guy. Its not an "in your face" kind of support. It was a quiet support . It doesn’t come as shoutouts on instagram or as massive email blasts to friends and family. His support is not in the most obvious way. Instead it comes as being a solid dad to our kiddos while their mama is away building her business. It is in the way in which he has dinner ready for me after a long day. It is the tiny pep talks I need in the car on the way down to meet a contractor or before making an important decision. It is the little things he does to make sure I am 100% on my game each day. Every day.
So Happy Anniversary to this guy ✨

THIS GUY. He’s the guy that watches chick flicks with me on Saturday night because he knows I’m obsessed with them. He’s the guy that happily chauffeurs the kiddos from birthday parties to hockey practice to swimming lessons every Saturday while I work. He’s the guy that rubs your belly all night when your tummy hurts. He’s the guy that looks at you the same way he did 12 years ago. He’s our guy. And holy crap do we ever love him. Happy Birthday my love! ❤️🎉

Happy first birthday to my lil' miss! I am a proud mama today. You are becoming quite the little girl - full of adventure (your dad), curiosity (your dad), strong will (thats probably me) and you truly love everyone and everything! You have the best smiles!
