POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This November, head down to San Diego for another edition of #SAM: Storytelling Across Media at @comicconmuseum! We’re excited to bring our Storytelling in Sound and Music panel for its 7th year to examine how composers translate story, character, and emotion into music, from developing a project’s musical identity to shaping individual moments through score.

The panel will feature composer @ericaporter_music (The Passenger, Drip Like Coffee), composer @ludekdrizhal (Starbright), founder and lead composer of @spacecataudio, @mattnovack, director/ composer @majdalany (La Pandora’s Box), and composer @philipwhitecomposer (Spa Weekend), and will be moderated by Kaya Savas, founder of Film.Music.Media.

The event is free with museum admission, so get tickets today using the link in our bio!

Special thanks to Michele and the Sunset Screening Room for hosting us, and to our G&E Swing, Chester, for taking such great photos! We can’t wait to share more of this journey with everyone 🫶

next up, our composer, erica porter!

we’ve had the pleasure of working with erica on other projects before, but never quite like this. the soundtrack for reduction was a true labor of love. we started with a playlist that felt inspired by the short film & worked our way the final soundtrack. erica collaborated with a handful of songwriters, vocal artists and producers on this project!

the soundtrack goes way beyond music during the climactic moments- it carries so many of the subtle psychological undertones throughout the film, especially through gabe’s perspective.

erica is based in los angeles, california, make sure you check out her work @ericaporter_music! #indieartists #musiccomposer #filmmusic #soundtrack
