Auckland Museum Part 2 🫱🏼Tongan Friend

Namaskar Fam 🙏🏽

Here's part 2 with some more footage. One of the highlight of this trip was making a new Friend, Eric Bernard (@ericb.art ) , a very talented artist with Tongan roots. See slide 5 and 6 of this post to see his magical artwork.

One of the best thing about traveling and exploring new places is meeting very talented people from all walks of life. Eric is a prime example of it.

Happy exploring ✌🏽

I, Pratik Ishwarbhai Patel, am grateful for life and everything in it 🙏🏽

Last post of the year and this one may be a bit weird. Been real inspired to go back to my roots, more so by @ericb.art style. Sometime it's good to express yourself and freely let your hand just flow even if it creates something weird.

Thanks to all the family and friends who been their with me through this year, hope you can be with me through the next.

Title: child in Buri Kalou

At the start of this project the writer and I had a chat about the important theme of this story, but there was a quote that stood out to me that she said.

‘Vei vaka turaga Taki’, which roughly translate to; ‘Everything you do, you do with honour’.

When I heard that quote, I knew right away what was needed to be done. So I was glad to know that I was able to bring out the essence of her story with the best of my ability.

Thank you @leipeckham for allowing me to be your illustrator and bring your story to life, it was hella fun and I’d do it again, cause it brought out the best of me. Vinaka vaka levu

I’m kinda salty for not being able to go to the opening at the start of this month but I hope I can still get a copy of this book when it comes on sale along the rest of the Pacifica books.
