POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
(Homeschool lesson when Eric was 11. I tell you, he needs to be a writer - he had quite the imagination even then! Though I’m sure he added lots of numbers and letters to fill up space. 😁 I copied the story below for your reading pleasure.) Once upon a time in a town called gfteyr (somewhere where nobody cares about) lived a kid named Barney. Now what you’ve got to understand is that Barney was a little bit on the wierd side you see he was born this way and nobody could change it. Where was I… Oh yes, he lived in gdteyr a fairly small town. It had a aveage of about 72.3 people (not exactly a population explotion) so since there weren’t many people land was cheap, for example $2 could get you about oh um 200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,004 1/9 acres, well mabey my example was a little off, but it was pretty close. Barney lived with his dad and mom. His dad beat him and his mom had a deasease called gdetey……(Eric had MANY letters with the word phobia at the end) and it made her peel carrots with vingersnootle peelers and wash a car with a moldy taco shell, etc., etc.

Another vision comes to fruition in our NH woods in SC! Thanks, Gary, for cutting and helping me move the two logs for the bridge supports and thanks, Eric, for the backbreaking work of putting in the many screws in the branches on the bridge (in the dark - needed to get ‘er done!) and then cutting off some too long pieces. Love our rustic bridge leading to stairs through our NH stone wall! Emmy likes it too. 😃

We have been very busy bringing in topsoil/garden soil and leveling out our backyard after having 11 trees cut down. We’ve gotten many pickup loads. They closed early today so Eric helped me with another little project. All these formed concrete pieces were buried under the ground in the backyard, and we put them to good use. Another little sitting area. 🙂

The previous owners had this 8 foot fence sticking out perpendicular from our back fence. We couldn’t figure out why because it didn’t separate the yard - just a tiny bit of the yard. They had these huge steel post holders (maybe they had a bull?) that went pretty deep for that tiny section of fence. The truck could not even pull it out. What a job getting them out!

My sister Beth, who now lives 15 minutes away - which is amazing and I love so much - drove in right after we parked the truck with a hanging plant welcoming us “home”. We had new floors put throughout the home while we were driving, and they look beautiful! 8 inch wide laminate planks. Of course I have many other ideas for the home/yard, but don’t tell Gary. 😁 Thank the Lord we had a safe trip even though we had a few bad weather days, blown tire and truck lights that were not too good. Thanks for praying! ❤️🙏

Sons and daughters - the circle of life. All of them very loved by us, all of them are so fun to be with, all of them have been used to teach us many things, all of them are prayed for by us - that God will bless them, mold them and use them as blessings for others, all of them are not perfect, (like we are not!) but perfect for us! ❤️ Happy Daughter Day and Son Day!
