Eric Galipo’s @ericgalipo March Planning Matters: “The Blandification of Asbury Park”. Asbury Park, known for its diversity, eccentricity, and history, is becoming safer, flatter, and more generic. New rental buildings offer high rents, while new for-sale units attract outsiders, not locals. Thank you Eric & David for hosting us on a beautiful day. We
talked one and one with parents and residents. It’s disconcerting that many families choose to send their children to Deal, Avon, charter and religious schools because of poor outcomes from the Asbury Park School District. The focus of the Improve Learning Now! ticket is to improve student performance and fiscal responsibility. The candidates believe that a focused, strategic approach is necessary to increase student performance while addressing the out-of-control budget. A change on the Board is needed to rethink how the District is managed. The Asbury Park Board of Education must be held accountable to the students and community. The time for change is now! "Planning Matters" Eric Galipo does the math on the downzoning of Asbury Park.

"The current administration touts its dedication to affordable housing and year-round vitality, but the results tell a different story: fewer homes, higher prices, and fewer unique activities that keep Asbury ‘weird'.”

BEYOND PILOTS - Read @ericgalipo letter to the editor "A Recipe for Inconsistency” about development west of Main Street. “...we’ve perfected a system where developers get flexibility, residents get obstacles, and big opportunities are routinely wasted.” L1nk !n B!0 https://asburyriprap.com/a-recipe-for-inconsistency/ #asburypark #development #affordability
