“Deadly Compulsion” 🍷 ☠️

4th #poster shot for #sleepnomore in #shanghai as part of the 2025 campaign. Here is the final result, along with behind the scenes images, the poster, the photo itself and the concept “drawing” (stunning I know 😅) so you can see the whole process! 🫶🏻♥️ It was an exciting shooting, and being involved in the creative direction felt special. How to tell the story, coming up with a concept, visualizing it, fine tuning in a team, and finally making it real. Thanks @punchdrunkint and SMG live for the trust, and 感谢 to this incredible team for the amazing work, under pressure. Can’t wait for the next one.

2024 was a year of great adventures and full of time working with so many incredible artists.

A huge thankyou to all the collaborators, supporting organisations and audiences that made these experiences so special.

We took Volcano to @stannswarehouse for @utrfest and @brisbanefestival at @bris_powerhouse. Massive thanks to @cultureireland for making this possible and to Paul Fahy, Susan Feldman, Mark Russel, Maxine Doyle and Louise Bezzina for championing the work and believing in us to bring it to wider audiences.

We developed Scorched Earth at @dancecorkfirkincrane @thtgalway and @shawbrookresidential with a showing at @dublindancefestival

We kept working on Prometheus through residencies at @uillinnwestcorkarts @corktheatre @dancecorkfirkincrane supported by @corkcityarts

This work was all made possible through the support of 2024 Arts Grant Award from @artscouncilireland

Independently, I had the opportunity to return to @sleepnomorenyc in June to perform for one farewell stint, to teach at @b12.research.or.die in Berlin and to research new material with the dancers of @luaildance

Thanks again to @dublindancefestival for continuing my role as Artist In Residence and to Uillinn and DanceCork Firkin Crane for their continued support of my practice through Dance Artist In Residence Awards.

Ongoing gratitude to Gwen Van Spyk, Simon Bird, Chris Hopcraft, Sophie Coote, Gavin Kennedy, Aidah Sama and Adrian Moylan for working with me through the year. Also to Alex Matthews who just really goes above beyond.

Finally, to the absolute pantheon of artists I was lucky enough to work with thanks for your patience, your talent, your diligence, and your humour.

Eric Jackson Bradley, Sarah Dowling, Stephanie Crousilat, Stephen Moynihan, Rob Moloney, Ali Goldsmith, Alison Cummins, Amy Pitt, Pai Rathaya, Ryan ONeil, Theo Arran, Will Thompson, Pato Cassinoni, Stephen Dodd, Tyler Carney Faleatua, Rosie Stebbing, Lily Ockwell, Triangle Productions, Seirian Griffiths, Ed Mitchell

And now 2025... I've got a really good feeling about this one.

Punchdrunk's immersive theatre show, The Burnt City, was a huge part of my life in 2022 and 2023 and we were heartbroken when it closed in September last year. The final week of the show started with a special party, The Last Rite. Euphoric, hedonistic, nostalgic, always unexpected and magical - it was the start of a wonderful goodbye.

I have already shared some of these photos via stories but I wanted to have them on my grid as well. Plus it feels like serendipitous timing as in a moment of madness at the start of June I decided to end a decade of dreaming and book tickets to Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. So I'm heading to New York... on Friday.
