Above Eleven Dubai invites guests into a vibrant rooftop world where Peruvian-Nikkei cuisine, curated cocktails, and skyline views converge. @aboveelevendubai 🇦🇪

📍 Dubai, United Arab Emirates
🏆 Nominated: 2026 World Luxury Restaurant Awards - Nikkei Cuisine | Best Panoramic Views | Best Cocktail Menu

Perched 14 floors above West Beach, the venue offers a sensory escape—an urban jungle of bold design, live entertainment, and mixology mastery. Inspired by the iconic Bangkok original, the Dubai outpost brings a fresh edge to the city’s dining scene under the culinary leadership of Chef Erick Alonso Ramos Cornejo (erickalonso2).

High above Palm Jumeirah, with panoramic views stretching from Burj Al Arab to Ain Dubai, and a buzzing lineup of DJs and percussionists, Above Eleven is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience.

Apparently everyone’s turning themselves into surreal retro paintings now… so naturally, we made it Nikkei. 🦙🍸

Chef @erickalonso2 understood the assignment and is joining the trend. Will you post yours?

If there’s such a thing as a perfect brunch, I may have just found it. It ticks all the boxes I look for in a brunch - amazing food (plated and served at the table, but of course), incredible vibes, fabulous drinks, top notch service, and an after party with stunning views that turns the fun up even further. If you’re looking for your next brunch spot, look no further than @aboveelevendubai at @marriottresortpalmjumeirah - that’s if you can get a table! Our brunch was sold out and were told it books up weeks in advance. 10/10 no notes! Truly a blast.

Chef Erick’s journey began with a question - how to tell the story of his homeland through flavor.

From Lima’s coast to Dubai’s skyline, that question shaped every plate on Journey Through Nikkei 🗺️

Chapter Two is almost gone. The finale is coming soon - Nov 1.

Chapter 2 of @aboveelevendubai’s ‘Journey to Nikkei’ menus… and again, it’s just 365 per diner for six awesome courses, and 150 for six paired beverages. You’ll enjoy Prawn Misoshiro, Pulpo Al Olivo, Pan Con Pescado, Seabass Steam, Lomo Saltado, Mushroom Donburi and the best Tres Leches we may have ever had. Each course comes with fascinating storytelling from Chef @erickalonso2, explaining how each of these courses shaped the course of Nikkei cuisine, and from where they evolved. A must for Nikkei lovers. if you experienced Chapter 1, you’ll enjoy 10% off this new edition…quite the deal!

Think you’ve tried it all in Dubai? Maybe not.

There’s a cuisine where Japan meets Peru — where ceviche meets soy, and sashimi meets spice. It’s called Nikkei — a story of migration, adaptation, and flavor that began over a century ago and still surprises today.

Above Eleven at Marriott The Palm (QUITE the foodie hotel!!) has quietly become one of Dubai’s most delish dining spots. Since joining the restaurant a year ago, Chef Erick Ramos Cornejo has taken their cuisine to another level in terms of taste and authenticity. It was good before, but now it’s fabulous.

I brought my mum along as my dining date to check out their new ‘A Journey Through Nikkei’ series of tasting menus, and she couldn’t stop raving about the food - and she’s a hardcore foodie with very high standards. 💅🏼

If you love Nikkei, this needs to be on your list. The ‘A Journey Through Nikkei’ menus trace the origins, evolution and present-day expression of the cuisine, with a six-course tasting menu at AED 365 per person. The pairing of six drinks - three wines and three cocktails - for AED 150 is exceptional value, in my books!

An elevated dining experience that’s all killer, no filler. I’ll be back for chapter 2 very soon…
