Beer was my introduction to a life and career I could have never imagined existed.

As I finish up what may very well be my last beer festival, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and humility for this journey. A lot of people took chances on me.

It gave me a new found respect for craft beverages and the role it plays in my life. It allowed me to share stories and imbibe with people I may never have met otherwise. It provided creative outlets and challenged me to never be stagnant.

It reignited my love for curating experiences, made me a better bartender, sent me around the globe in search of myself, provided new coastlines, endless education, and inspired me to explore wine, cider, and spirit production. It brought me friendships, unconditional love, and many nasty (but needed) reality checks. It gave me purpose and a reason to get out of bed on days when it felt unbearable. It saved my life.

If you've made it this far, I challenge you to find something that brings you absolute joy, I hope you find your people, but mostly-I hope you continue to find yourself. I say 'hasta luego' to a love that will always be a part of me, and 'howdy' to a piece I've longed to see again.

Here's to another decade of sharing gastronomy, passion, and beverages with you all. So excited to see what's on the horizon. Thank you for existing.
