POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

20 years ago I wrote & directed a feature; OTIS E. -Loosely based on Homer’s Odyssey taken place in contemporary Southern California. Yesterday I came across this trailer. Called in so many favors with the crew & cast. Some serious talent involved; heads of all departments, a haunting score by @keithpowermusic with original songs by @therealstormare & @susanjames , many talented actors including a heart-wrenching, tragic performance given by @thekevindurand as Otis E. (The legendary #JackKehler #JamesGammon & #HughDane have passed since). Yeah after I completed post I was ironically told that no one would connect with or even knew the tale of Homer’s Odyssey.

No I don’t have the rights or had Final Cut; it was my 1st feature.
No it was never publicly shown even though a festival wanted to premiere it. No cast & crew screening, nothing.
Just another Hollywood story of a film taken away from the filmmaker and chopped up & shelved. RIP Otis E.

SEAL Team Releases on Netflix today. Grateful to have worn all the hats I got to on this show, and for all the amazing people I got to work with over the life of it. I developed some friendships that I’ll take to the grave, and it was a worthy grind from start to finish. Some fun photos amongst even more memories locked in. #sealteam #netflix #cbs

That’s a wrap on #Marshals Ep 213… huge shout out to the amazing cast led by @lukegrimes and an even bigger shout out to the hard working crew who moved mountains for me while we were on location. Loved Utah, can’t wait to go back.

Some extras from season one. Season two is underway and the whole production jives like a big family. Grateful to be part of the turning stories into film process. A team sport. Thank you @spencerhudnut for the continued trust after all these years. I love my job and the people I get to continue to work with.

Every Father’s Day I have always avoided social media as I couldn’t help but feel somewhat of a quiet sadness.

Now, I have every reason to celebrate someone extremely special. The BEST father
to Charlie🧸 I could ever have dreamed of.
We are the absolute luckiest and love you forever.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! 💕

Kayce Dutton is back in MARSHALS, the latest installment in the Yellowstone universe.

In MARSHALS, "Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families."

MARSHALS premieres Sunday, March 1st, only on CBS and Paramount+.

Proudly supported by Keslow Camera.
