3.5 years in the making. One very big week. ⚡

This week marked a huge milestone for Avelo. Our first 1,000 preorders started arriving at runners’ doorsteps, and the Supertrainer One officially launched on our website in four colorways.

We wrapped up launch week in Brooklyn with a celebration at @leonsbagelsnyc, bringing the running community together for a few miles around McCarren Park, led by former pro @sfaubs. After the run, runners explored their own data — cadence, ground contact time, and discovered their unique running signatures — measured directly by their shoes.

Seeing runners connect with their data and learn something new about how they run is exactly the impact we want to have on the sport.

Smarter shoes. Smarter running. And we’re just getting started.

Ultramarathons are a team sport & I’ve learned that as you get deeper into the distances & extend yourself into multi-day formats, your crew is your lifeline.

This adventure wouldn’t have been possible without my crew (my absolute family) & I’ll cherish their presence & dedication to this mission forever.

Apparently, not only will I be back to the start line of Moab240 next year - but these psychos will be there by my side as well 🫶🏽

Thank you Moab Saints ❤️🪽

HIGHS & LOWS 🏔️

Due to the cancellation of MOAB 240, our journey has come to a halt. Alex was able to surmount the impassable and make it to Mile 143.8 - Dry Valley.

Our team and Alex’s family met him at the aid station where he received the news. This race held the harshest conditions in MOAB 240’s 9 year history, and he had the resolve necessary to see that finish line.

Thank you to @destinationtrailraces for hosting and ensuring the safety of all runners.

We’ll be back 🪽

Moab240 cancelled. Heard the news coming into the dry valley aid station at mile 143.

Ran 150 miles through hell, experienced sleep deprivation, pain & what real TIRED feels like. Learned felt & thought things I could never have without the suffering we were selected to endure. I wish the situation was different so we could have continued on. My win is I made pain my home - I settled into the discomfort & was ready to stay there until the job was done.

The harshest conditions I’ve ever experienced - the body, the mind, & the weather. God threw everything he had at us out there.

So grateful for my wife & my family/crew for helping get me here. You make this all possible.

We’ll be back.
