friends on film: paris

every time i go back to this place, it gets harder and harder to ever imagine that on my first visit here, i once explored the city and knew no one. i didn’t know where i was going, my iphone 5s had no service and i used a literal paper map to navigate my way around town.

these days, wether it be friends who live in paris or friends also visiting paris, i will forever hold dear the feeling of being able to share time with friends old & new in paris.

it’s a place that is very much a part of who i am and its helped me become more comfortable with who i am. and a large part of that is being able to spend time with people who inspire me, encourage me and make me want to listen more than i talk.

the feeling of a “you’re in paris? i’m in paris” text or note is similar to seeing a sunset when you turn the corner and look down a long road. you hope you’ll see it but it always hits when you least expect it and when it happens, your heart jumps a little.

now.. if this app would only allow me to tag more than twenty times.. but i suppose that’s a good problem to have.

grateful for these memories.
