This is not something I ever imagined writing, because none of this feels real. My husband, the love of my life, my soulmate—Darren Walker—has passed away. He was taken from us so suddenly, and we’re still trying to process the shock. Even though I wish I could just stop everything and grieve, there are things I’m being forced to handle that I never wanted to face.

At some point, I’ll share more. But right now, it’s just too soon. I kindly ask that you not call to ask questions. I know people care and want to understand, and I appreciate the love—but this is a deeply personal loss, and we need time and space to process it privately. There’s no dramatic story—just heartbreak that we’re trying to survive.

Our family is completely flipped upside down. Our world has shattered. We are holding on and doing what we can, moment by moment. Right now, trying to explain things or take calls is overwhelming, and it doesn’t honor Darren or the love we have for him. He deserves peace, dignity, and respect—and so do our daughters and family.
People often say, “Let me know if there’s anything I can do.” We may not be in a place to ask for anything. But if you truly want to help, here’s something that would mean the world: send us your stories about Darren. Whether it’s a funny moment, something he did that impacted you, or just how he made you feel—we want to hear it. These stories will help our daughters understand who their dad was through your eyes, and we’ll treasure them forever. Walkersynergy@yahoo.com Another way to show support is with gentle silence. Darren connected deeply with people—he was a heart guy. And while I know “RIP” or “Sorry for your loss” messages are well-intentioned, they sometimes fall short of the depth of this pain. If you don’t know what to say, it’s okay to simply hold us in your heart.

Katelyn is a World Champion!
A-Team did it! Everyone knows I always have a lot to say, and I am SPEECHLESS. It is very hard to put into words how hard these athletes work. All Star Cheer is such a huge part of K's life. For years she has pushed herself physically and mentally to get where she wanted to be. This sport is not for the weak and watching K become the athlete she is today is truly remarkable.

I can not express how much we appreciate all the support from so many. Erika, you started this journey with Katelyn so long ago and seeing you and Tayvon this weekend watching our girl was incredible.

World's 2023 was 🅰️mazing!!!!!
