The knee strap crunch, broken down for you 🖤

🔹 Set up on at least one heavy spring, with the long loops right above your kneecaps
🔹 Pull against that carriage tension to crunch up, pulling your forehead toward your knees
🔹 Press your spine down into the carriage as you engage through your core
🔹 Resist the carriage back out — knees stacked over your hips, head tapping down each time

Come move with us. First-timers get 2 classes for $34, booked through motivatestudios.com or the MindBody app. Grip socks included.

The details that make this move work ✨ A great core exercise that’s less about folding in half and more about finding control.

🔹 Start in a plank position
🔹 Pike your hips up toward the ceiling, coming into kind of a checkmark position
🔹 Find that little shaky point in your lower core, stopping just before your heels want to drop
🔹 When you feel that, head back into plank, letting your head go along with the movement as you fold, gaze down toward your shins
🔹 Move nice and slow

You can also do this one at the back of the machine, in a reverse position with your hands on the carriage and toes on the platform. Or try a giant plank to pike, hands on the carriage and toes on the back platform.

That’s how you do your Pike to Plank. 💪

Your form check for the Single Leg Squat ✨
Here’s how to get it right.

🔹 Working foot up near the top of the platform, close to panel one
🔹 Left toe staggered behind on the first panel
🔹 Send hips back as you lower, opening the carriage
🔹 Get into a 90 degree bend on the working leg
🔹 Press through that foot to slowly rise, bringing the carriage back in
🔹 Keep a soft bend in the knee at the top of the squat

That’s how you do your Single Leg Squat. 💪

Getting to know Erin 🖤 She teaches every Tuesday in Montrose, plus subs around LA locations — so there’s a good chance you’ve had a class with her.

What keeps her motivated as a teacher? Her clients, especially the ones showing up at 5:30am ready to take on whatever she throws at them.
