RECLAIM – New Exhibition at Cave

Reclaiming the space, the time, the work.

This April, a group of artists come together to reconnect with their creative practice after time away.

The exhibition explores what it means to return to making — after study, life shifts, or stepping away from art altogether — reclaiming time, space, and creative voice.

The making of one of Photofusion’s biggest show openings to date.

Thanks to a special collaboration between @photofusionuk, @cockaynefoundation, @minititleltd , @imagine.ldn and @captureone, last year we were able to explore what music meant to a new generation of creatives who have been using our Creators Studio mentoring programme to develop their talents. Always snapping away when he’s not multi-tasking , our Youth Engagement Manager @_dwiafe, captured memories of how our nine of our young talents brought their visions of Muslim Sisterhood, Grime Culture, Pole Dance and more to life. Seeing these memories are a constant reminder of the value of providing spaces for under-represented talents in the arts when the challenges that face them often go unspoken and unheard.

S/O to our incredible artists and the many talents and folk that featured in the work, lent a supporting hand or showed love throughout this journey.

We were invited to step into the vibrant world of Made From Home, Photofusion’s latest exhibition celebrating the work of nine emerging photographers.

Displaying a powerful mix of still and moving images; spanning fashion, documentary, and deeply personal storytelling.

This exhibition takes you on a journey exploring how music becomes memory and identity is composed in harmony with community.

With intimate portrayals of Muslim Sisterhood, raw captures of Grime Culture, and striking expressions through Pole Dance and beyond.

Made From Home doesn’t just showcase culture. It pulses with life, giving a voice to scenes often felt but rarely seen.

From 6pm this evening, we are adding 7 NEW EXCLUSIVE PRINTS to our Autumn Print Sale in conjunction with our new Made From Home exhibition, featuring emerging photographic talents from our Creators’ Studio programme.

The Creators’ Studio is a fully funded programme equipped to provide the creative and professional tools needed to bring South London’s young creatives’ ideas to life. We at Photofusion provide a space and mentorship to develop their photography skills, find employment and education opportunities in the creative sector, learn business basics and good financial habits, and access all our facilities for free.

Made From Home – a collaboration between The Creators’ Studio and photography agency @minititleltd – explores how music lives in physical spaces — bedrooms, homes, churches, our phones — and how it facilitates intimate and collective experiences of belonging and community. Mixing stills and motion, fashion and documentary, each artist in the show gives us a glimpse into vibrant new worlds of Muslim Sisterhood, Grime Culture, Pole Dance and more.
