@thebrandyclark’s “American Roots (Live)” is yours today!

The undeniable chemistry and magic that we all have together shines so bright. What a joy to bring Brandy’s vision to life with my brothers, @gabeburdulis and @erinmn.

I hope y’all love it, share it, and live it. The world needs this song and ALL the hope it brings!

The first time we played “American Roots” live as a band, the response really stuck with us. The song took on a whole new meaning after that, and I wanted to capture some of that feeling to share with you all. The #AmericanRoots Live Version is yours this Friday ❤️

I don’t know what it says about me that my favorite song on @thebrandyclark ‘s forthcoming album, The Bird, is “The Loner and the Lonely,” but this one really gets into my head. Here’s a snippet of the goodness that is to come. The Bird will be available for download on 1/15/27. @thebrandyclark #brandyclark #fyp #newmusic #livemusic #americanamusic

“American Roots” by the incomparable @thebrandyclark is finally out today!

It’s the honor of a lifetime to share that I played upright bass and sang background vocals on this incredibly beautiful and important song. It’s the kind of song that comes around once in a lifetime… but that’s also the kind of artist that Brandy is.

This song is so special as it marks the beginning of this unbelievable journey for all of us… and our creative journey with producer extraordinaire, @shooterjennings. From note one of “American Roots,” Shooter made us all feel so comfortable and curated the perfect environment to make a record together. When I say make a record… I mean, we MADE a record. Old school - with intention. I have so much more to say when the album (the bird) is released! Shooter is pure magic and we all love him beyond words.

Take a listen - then pass it on down… this is a song that holds such power!

What a beautiful, transformative time in NYC with the incomparable @thebrandyclark! From start to finish, our time at @92ndstreety was magic. Over the past year I’ve played countless incredible shows with Brandy… but this one felt different. This moment in time marked a reflection, a new chapter, new music, and most importantly - a woman fully stepping into her power. It was awe-inspiring.

For those of you lucky enough to bear witness, you know exactly what I mean. The entire room was buzzin’ in a big way!

Special thanks to the amazing cast of characters who brought their talent, joy, and beauty to this special night. I love each of you beyond words and can’t wait to share the stage with y’all again soon!
