NYC Marathon 2025! 🌟 It may have ended up not being the marathon I wanted, but it was absolutely the marathon I needed.

The training instilled in me discipline and determination. The 26.2 taught me the truth of “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” And the in-between moments reminded me of the importance of living life deliberately: doing the things you want to do on your own timeline, surrounding yourself with people who make you feel whole and embrace who you are, and to always champion others as they pursue their goals, big and small. ⛰️

The signs, the snacks, the music, the Tylenol, and the energy along the course were unparalleled and were a symphony of support unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I was beyond lucky to have the best crew of family and friends on the sidelines, with the most creative signs, the loudest cowbells, the best hugs, and the most heartwarming smiles.

I could not have done this alone. To my family and friends who cheered me on (in person and from home!), to the Herren Project for giving me the opportunity to be part of their incredible team, to everyone who donated to support those on their journeys of recovery, and to God— thank you.

In races and in life, when your legs get tired, run with your heart. 💛
