🚨PROJECT SPOTLIGHT🚨

SDSU has a new partnership with @siouxfallsfirerescue , spearheaded by the leadership of Dr. Allison Barry. The goal of this project is to create a blueprint that departments can use to develop wellness initiatives that support firefighter career longevity- focusing on physical fitness, nutrition and mental health.

As a Nutrition and Dietetics student at SDSU, I’m grateful to play even a small role in this work. @erinunzen and I are working to better understand and help fill the nutritional gaps of SFFR firefighters. We couldn’t do this without the guidance and supervision of @meganjnorthrup.

Today we had the privilege of a full-day ride along to truly understand the ins and outs of the firefighter lifestyle. Thank you SFFR for the opportunity and to the firefighters for being so open and honest with us. Excited for what’s ahead 🔥

Recovery is just as important as the grind.

Your body needs rest to rebuild, recharge, and come back even stronger. So take that stretch, foam roll, nap, or slow walk — you’ve earned it.

We have options weekly to check recovery off your list. Join us at one of our Infrared Yoga Flow classes throughout the week—
Mondays at 6:30pm
Wednesdays at 6:30pm
Fridays at 7:00am
Sundays at 5:00pm

See you there 💫
