Sweetest birthday gift from my girl! Every year on March 19, the cliff swallows return to Capistrano after a miraculous cross-continental journey. Their arrival reminds me that we, too, can keep coming “home” to our bodies, to the earth, to the love of each other, the care of our Creator. No matter how far away we feel, or how arduous the passage, we hold an instinct to return, again and again. It seems to me that we are even guided, destined, sometimes carried by the promise. I want to keep trusting that wind. ✨💛💫
