Our NAC Para Offroad Cycling Team showed up to race alongside other adaptive riders from across the region this weekend at @rebeccasprivateidaho

There was big news for para off-road cycling. For the first time ever, Stage 1, the Harriman Trail, at Rebecca’s Private Idaho was open to Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices (OPDMDs). RPI has pushed for inclusive gravel racing and we are so grateful for their efforts in allowing all adaptive riders to compete.

Huge thanks to @higherground_usa, the local adaptive org that had riders’ backs all weekend: a great dinner and support at several aid stations along the course.

We were stoked to see the number of adaptive riders out there. Drop a comment and give these riders a shoutout!

Nothing is slowing these ladies down. 🏁

Professional off-road racer @kristenmatlock joined the Return to Dirt Gals Camp to lead the crew through the Colorado trails and turn up the speed.

From first rides to “best day of my life,” the energy was unreal.

“They’re adaptive athletes, but nothing is slowing them down, and they’re inspiring me just the same.” — Kristen Matlock

Huge High Five to Kristen, @yokohamatire, and the entire crew for making this experience possible. ✋

“What does adaptive mountain biking mean to you?” We had the pleasure of asking riders at Wydaho Adaptive MTB Festival 🏔️

Hosted by @tetonadaptive at @grandtarghee. This weekend brought cross-country rides, downhill ripping, and access to uphill paths or lift service. It was awesome to see adaptive riders show up to ride bikes, camp, and have a great time together.

If this looks like your kind of weekend, join us at Wydaho 2027. Follow @tetonadaptive for dates!

[Video description: A vertical reel filmed on a sunny day at a mountain bike festival in the Tetons. Clips of riders on adaptive mountain bikes carving down a dusty singletrack trail through pines and aspens overlay short interviews. Nine athletes answer the question “What does adaptive mountain biking mean to you?” speaking into a handheld microphone in a festival parking area with tents, trucks, and a mechanic trailer in the background. All are seated in adaptive bikes or wheelchairs. The reel closes with a rider descending a shaded trail toward the camera.]

Gravel for Breakfast week 1 with NAC friends/coworkers and Celia. I have been a little obsessed with riding gravel and rediscovered the Jeremy/East Canyon road as a perfect early morning place to ride some fast gravel. I decided I wanted to share the stoke with some of my fellow bicycle aficionados from the NAC team. It was cool air and cool vibes. Bringing Celia along reminder me that many my NAC friends and coworkers are young enough to be my child literally. Never the less I am committed to being a forever child in mind and spirit if not earthly body 🚴🤣💪🏼🤙🏼☕ 🧓🏼

The NAC was invited to ride along on an adaptive trail assessment led by @mtntrailspc ⛰️

We rode green mountain bike trails in Round Valley:
First lap at trail speed.
Second lap, stopping to mark hazards and talk through what actually impacts adaptive riders.

The goal:
If a trail is rated green, it should be rideable without needing to avoid obstacles.
But features like rocks, roots, rolling grade dips, and even vegetation can debunk the trail rating, especially on a wider adaptive bike moving at a fast speed.

This work is part of Mountain Trail’s broader effort across the Wasatch Back to reveal how existing trails can meet adaptive and universal design standards.

Insider takeaway: adaptive trails shouldn’t be built on assumptions. They should be shaped by the riders using them. Thank you @mtntrailspc for prioritizing that!

We can’t wait to see you on the trails this summer. If you’re staying at our Lodge, these trails are in your backyard ☀️

Your support raised $4,000 last year, empowering eight adaptive cyclists on a 101-mile handcycle adventure. We’re doing it again in 2026 and aiming to cover costs and provide essential tools. Your contribution will help make a real impact, bringing us closer to helping athletes afford $10,000–$20,000 handcycles.
