Introducing our new-to-us dining room table and chairs!

Nathanael and I have talked many times about our desire to purchase a dining room set that would not only grow with us as a family, but also have the ability to seat more people comfortably for hospitality’s sake.

We always thought we would have to purchase new, but amazingly, my dear sister-in-law (thank you @erstwhilegoods ) found this stunning oak set on Facebook marketplace!

And friends, it is PERFECT! Literally everything we have wanted in a table and chairs! The Lord was so kind to bless us with this wonderful gift and we are so thankful. Looking forward to all the wonderful memories that will be formed as we gather around it!

I've never felt more exposed on the internet 😅

A friend recently requested a virtual tour of my closet, which sounded really fun, but I also loved the idea of being so transparent (if ya know me, ya know I'm alllll about that transparency!), PLUS I'm always down for a chance to tag other shops/friends, because shout-outs here are really our main form of marketing (and best, in my opinion, because they're genuine/unpaid)!

All that said, I never said I was a minimalist! 😂 But I'm also not a maximalist 💁‍♀️ We find what works for us and what we enjoy, and that's what matters (although, I don't "promote" living in excess! But if it isn't hurting you or anyone else financially/mentally/etc and you truly use it all, that's kinda where I feel like the line is drawn).

While talking to an IRL friend recently, it hit me: I'm a "midimalist" - right in the middle! 😅 No capsule wardrobe for me because I love multiple options with patterns & colors & styles! And because of that, I keep a revolving closet by following the one in, one out rule, and only buy something if I am willing to let something else go. If I haven't worn something in awhile, bye👋 Some things are forever pieces, some I'll change my mind on eventually, and some will go due to my body changing (again & again). And sometimes, I still LOVE the piece but it's just gotta go, because of course I have more than I *need*, at any given moment. I'm constantly purging my closet, and I know I'm fortunate to have this much🙏🏼🤍

While I have a little variety, my favorite colors are greens, dusty rose/mauve shades, and whites/creams. LOTS of florals & ginghams & plaids 😅💁‍♀️ But I also love a good graphic tee/flannel combo! 🤗

Almost my entire closet is secondhand now, which definitely took a few years to achieve, but I'm so happy I finally got there! Majority is thrifted by me, but quite a lot is from gals here! FYI: I'll never recommend a shop to you, if I haven't personally bought from, or at the very LEAST, connected with & trust! So, peep the tags on the photos and see if there's any new shops for you to follow! 😘🫶🏼

So grateful for this weekend's market at @hometowncoffeeroasters! I couldn't believe how many people showed up and shopped small for the holidays - we had the best group of businesses and everyone had a lovely time. Markets are truly where you get to best experience makers & artisans, and I loved chatting with so many people. Thank you all!

Big thanks to @written.in.clay for coordinating this cozy event, and to Hometown for graciously hosting us!

I'll be sharing what I snagged from each of the other businesses this week in my stories, and listing the (depleted) remainder of my inventory online, but for now ... I think it's time for a nap. ✨

What fun to be part of this event this weekend! 🌿

I even got to carry around my wee one for a few hours in the morning, so that was really fun, too. A little warm, but still nice!
