Wanted to post about my tiny Odyssey to see @theodysseymovie in 70mm IMAX! Out of 40 theatres in the world playing Christopher Nolan's epic in this format one happened to be in Michigan only 2-3hrs away from me so obviously I couldn't pass up this opportunity :)
@celebrationcnma Grand Rapids North is an awesome theatre and they had a room in the back where people could go and see the giant film platters and projectors and understand the amount of work that goes into showing this behemoth of a film the way it was intended! They also had a cool map people for people to pin where they came from and how far they journeyed just for one film!
A plan a year in the making with some of my favorite friends. Got to see it 3 times with different friends each time and every experience was better than the last!!! They also gave away a cool 1.43:1 poster to audience members of the very first screening!
Very worth the 8-9hrs of overall driving i did 😁
Movies are cool 😎
