It’s been a little over a month since our tiny tornado moved up into the big kids class and earned her gray belt. 🩶🥋

I’m still in awe of her progression in this sport. Right now, we’re really working on her focus, mentality, and learning how to channel all that energy she has. 😂 She can definitely be a little spicy, but we’ve seen such a change in her focus and maturity since moving up.

I love watching her continue to be challenged, grow, and find her place on the mats.

I’ll always be your loudest cheerleader, but getting a front-row seat to watch you become stronger, more confident, and more determined is one of my greatest privileges as your mom. I couldn’t be prouder of the little girl you’re becoming 🥰

Thank you @esakijiujitsu for giving her a place to grow not only as an athlete, but as a young girl finding her confidence, strength, and discipline 🙏🏽

World Master 2026 💙🥋

I lost by decision, 1–1 on advantages—my ankle lock attempt versus her knee bar/toe hold attempt—but this loss wasn’t as hard since I know I am in the mix and I’m proud to have tested my jiu-jitsu at this level.

Darin also battled hard, losing 0–2, but showed some beautiful top passing movement and gave it everything he had. We are grateful to share this journey together 🥹

Despite our loss this time, these experiences remind us why we love this journey. We got to compete, learn, test, eat LOTS of yummy food 😋, make new jits friends, and what is life without a little YOLOing? Just like @ajkeeponrollin , we just cant stay away! 😂💪🏽

We have so much gratitude for all of our training partners @esakijiujitsu who help prepare us, mom and dad for holding it down at 🏡, and our friends who support and encourage us along the way. ❤️

This was our first time not bringing home the hardware, but the journey continues. Back to the mats, back to learning, and back to getting better. See you next time! 🥋🌎
