𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫: Health Services Administration

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭: I’m minoring in Health Sciences, Aerospace Studies, and Intelligence & National Security!

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐊𝐃𝐏𝐡𝐢: Growing up with two brothers and strict parents never left me with much room to experience “girlhood.” I had no makeup, no sleepovers, no spontaneous days where we dress up, or late night drives talking about our feelings. I continued to feel this disconnect with my femininity when I joined afrotc where everyone and everything seemed so standardized. This upbringing made me search for a sense of belonging with other girls, and I found this when I started exploring aKDPhi. Joining aKDPhi has allowed me to grow more comfortable with myself and my feelings as the people in this sorority foster a loving environment.

Here are 10/20 of the top 20 designs that we chose out of the over 100 designs that were submitted 😍🤗! There were so many amazing designs submitted, and it was so hard to choose even top 10 so we chose top 20!! Now, comment the number of the design that you think should win!! You can only vote once! If you like a concept, vote for the design because we will work with the top three voted designs to rework their original design and make it perfect for the t-shirts! Remember, you gotta follow our page to make your vote count! Winner will be announced this coming Saturday, April 14th and the design will be revealed as a kid’s mural that will be able to be painted by guests at The Makery (@themakeryjax) which will be at Space 42 (@space.42)!!! Make sure to come out to see who won, and to paint the mural with us! Also keep in mind, these designs will be printed on t-shirts that will be sold to raise money for our @kidsmuralproject!!! The ideal design for us is one that is like a coloring book, and can be colored in with fabric markers!!! We will have a big event in a few months with our new shirts where you can come and buy a shirt, tye-die, Color-in the design, and totally customize your shirt!! Thank you to everyone that submitted! (The full quote for the first design is “In the hands of the youth”) 😍✨🎨🙏🙌💯❤️ #epowertheyouth #kidsmuralproject
