Dear Future PNMs 💌
With Love, Pi Phi MC ‘25

To the PNM who is nervous to rush…

“I went into recruitment barely knowing anyone at school and had no idea what to expect. From the moment I met the girls in Pi Phi, they made me feel seen and like I belonged. They welcomed me in and made something that could have been a scary experience feel so special.

I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by some of the most genuine and well-rounded girls I know. It’s completely normal to be nervous, but trust the process. Finding a home like Pi Phi changed my college experience because of all the friendships and memories I’ve made.”

To the PNM who is branching out on their own…

“Coming from Birmingham, Alabama, I didn’t know a single soul from my high school or my state coming into SMU. Rush was honestly so daunting at first because I didn’t have any built-in friends going through it with me. But the second I met the girls in Pi Phi I felt like they genuinely wanted me there and made me feel at home before I even knew them.“

To the PNM who is moving far from home…

“Moving from Oregon to Texas was such a big change. I was so excited for a fresh start, but definitely nervous about leaving home and stepping into a completely new environment. Looking back, every bit of uncertainty was worth it. SMU and Pi Phi have given me friendships, memories, and a place that truly feels like home. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🩵”

To the PNM who is a student athlete…

“There is something so special about having two teams to call your own. Being a student athlete means full days, early mornings, and a schedule that keeps you busy, but Pi Phi has become the place I look forward to coming home to every day and the girls who make even the busiest days better.

Some of my favorite college memories have come from the little moments coming home after a long practice to girls who save me a seat at dinner, the “good luck!” texts before games, the videos from the stands, celebrating each other’s wins, and always knowing I have people in my corner.

You deserve a sisterhood that celebrates every part of who you are and encourages you to chase e
