Moving with the rhythms of the earth, observing as the high heat days of summer fly by.

At the farm we’re planting final summer seeds, harvesting early crops like lettuce and herbs, and adjusting our schedules to move in tune with the sun.

Free time has been well spent too - dancing, singing, and laughing with friends.
Eating delicious & nutritious foods.
Reading good books.
Processing chickens (1st time!), and hosting a ceremonial dinner feast.
Dancing with my love at red rocks.
Walking barefoot through muddy fields.
Falling deeper into my personal yoga practice and prepping to teach my first scheduled class.

Moving slower through the days, balancing the yin and yang, finding any spare seconds to pause and breathe.

Living with immense gratitude for all beauty around and within me.

“Our very fields are flowing,
earth burdening the waters.
To be made thus new,
the place must be made less.
And we who walk upon it
as it is being made
summit ourselves to making
by it as we have made it,
its history and ours made
day by day the same.”
- Wendell Berry

Mornings in the high alpine

Not a single soul in sight but trees rising high above
Birds chirp as the sun slowly rises over the peaks
Spreading crests of gold across the land
Marmots call as our foot steps rumble past their home
Pika scurry across the rocks in response calling cries of warning

The golden suns rises higher turning to white
The snow begins to melt flooding the trail with runoff
As moose begin to wander grazing through the ponds
The temperature warms and the wildflowers open
The world has awaken
With only our eyes to witness
🏔️🌞🌾

Beyond grateful to call these mountains home. Someone recently taught me the term Apukuna or mountain spirits. As you walk through the abode of the gods, you feel their sacred presence. Thank you mountain deities for watching over us and letting us wander your land. I am forever grateful🙏🏻

Always out here moon spotting🌙

The waxing crescent phase has been my favorite the last few months. Following the dark emptiness of the new moon and new intentions, a beautiful sliver of light sets in the western sky just before sunset, slowly growing toward the full moon globe. A new cycle full of hope. 🌀
