Drop my your favorite book please! 🙏🏽 But first! My book club, 📕 OVERBOOKED 📖 , is over 15 years strong. We’ve had years and years of monthly discussions that urged introspection, curiosity, listening when wanting to speak, speaking when wanting to shrink, traveling to where authors took us intellectually and geographically. We’ve seen black hair turn blonde and eventually gray, career promotions and job loss and now eying retirement, parents age and pass, toddlers graduate high school and college, and been featured on @oprahsbookclub when we ventured to Monticello to visit where our ancestors were enslaved by a founding father. Something amazing happens in the world of books. Sometimes friendships are solidified through the literary experience. Happy reading 🌈💖 What are you reading?
