Good day checking a few ripples and runs on a river somewhere... fair to say there were some willing residents sitting right where they were supposed to be !

A nice brown rudely interrupted our cross river conversation. @tastrout16 getting the job done.

Couple of good days chasing trout along the northwest coast with AussieFlyfisher's Imran. Some great browns landed on both stream and stillwater.

How’s that for a take, put the stalk on this trout actively feeding on smelt, chased it for a bit over 6 minutes before I got a good enough cast in front of the fish. 😮‍💨😅

THIS THURSDAY NIGHT!
The @riseflyfishingfilmfest is back for its 20th edition 😮
With a fresh lineup of the year’s best fly fishing films — hand-picked from around the globe and brought to the big screen in cities, towns, and fishing communities across Australia and New Zealand.

This year’s program delivers cinematic stories from salt to fresh, close to home and far off the map — all capturing the passion, places, and people that make fly fishing more than just a sport. You’ll meet characters who fish hard, care deeply, and share their adventures with humour, honesty, and heart.

Alongside the films, each event brings prize giveaways, local fly shop support, and a chance to catch up with your crew — or meet a few new ones.

Super pleased with this fish, not just for the size but to be able to make a sight cast to an actively feeding trout and seeing the fish’s attention turn straight to your fly and hunt it down right in front of your eyes is equally impressive in my mind.

Couple decent fish in the net this morning, quick little mission after night shift to the local well worth my time, the bigger trout ate the fly right under my nose too, so sick to see.🙏🏻🌅

Froze this morning but well worth it for this fish, shame I lost so many others today but I’m not complaining,
Pretty exited to see what these next couple of days brings on👌👌
