Baseball biomechanics in the sun with the @chicagobiomechanics crew.

When you have the right franework and an understanding of how the body is designed to move, even something as simple as hitting a baseball becomes fascinating and can teach you a lot about the dysfunctions and imbalances you have. Felt good to swing and see what I need to work on. Got plenty of tools and knowledge thanks to @functionalpatterns

Shoutout to @stephanie__sandoval for running a solid outdoor session with her collegiate baseball player client, breaking down baseball biomechanics, and running a fun group session 💪

I decided to test myself and compete at the 2026 Wrestling US Open. This is where the best wrestlers in the country compete for a spot on the world team. It’s been 3 years since I stepped on a wrestling mat and practiced for real.

Usually, this process would destroy someone’s body. But I actually felt pretty good while increasing my training intensity. Following the first principles put forth by @functionalpatterns and @theleverking I was able to get my body as close to being ready to compete as possible.

The best part is that I have ZERO PAIN. Outside of some bruises and muscle soreness, my body feels great. I’m grateful that I get to do something like this without my body falling apart.

Huge shoutout to the crew @chicagobiomechanics : @stephanie__sandoval @humberto.paniagua.1989 @estevan_.lopez for the support and for getting me ready!

Of course thanks to @naudithoughts for leading the way and setting the floor for us to be able to train like this!
