Happy Hispanic Heritage Month from Gphi! ❤️

Our sister Esther Vindel shares what Hispanic Heritage Month means to her:

“Hispanic Heritage Month is meaningful to me because it gives me a chance to celebrate where my roots and the culture that has shaped who I am today. Growing up in a Honduran household with immigrant parents, I saw how hard my parents worked to give me opportunities and a life they dreamed of for me. I will forever be proud of my culture from the food, traditions, and family values to the stories that have passed down from generations. Being hispanic is a big part of who I am and I am grateful that I get to carry my culture with me while also growing up as an American. To me, Hispanic Heritage Month is more than just celebrating my heritage but honoring where my family came from, remembering everything they have sacrificed, and making sure the pride they give me continues for the rest of my life.”

Wdym two semesters left?

This semester challenged me beyond comprehension in every possible way and I am so grateful for everyone who made the highs so high when the lows were so low.

Rest in peace Leela, my sweet puppy girl. Taken from us because of someone else’s neglect, I’ll love and miss you forever 💞
