dear softball,

it’s hard to believe my softball career has come to an end. for as long as i can remember, this game has been more than just a sport to me. it has been a place of growth, lessons, memories, and family. through every early morning, long practice, tough loss, and exciting win, softball has shaped me into the person i am today.

first and foremost, i want to thank God for giving me the ability to play the game i love. there were moments when I doubted myself, moments when the mental battles felt heavier than the game itself, and times when my shoulder injury made me question if i could keep going. but through every setback, God gave me strength and perseverance to continue pushing forward.

this season taught me that strength is not just physical. it’s showing up even when things feel hard, believing in yourself again after failure, and continuing to push forward when no one else sees the battles you are facing. i’m proud of overcoming those struggles and finishing what I started.

i couldn’t have made it through without the people standing behind me. to my teammates, thank you for these last 13 years. thank you for the laughs, encouragement, memories, and for pushing me to be better. to my coaches, thank you for believing in me even when I struggled to believe in myself. your support meant more than words can explain. to my family, thank you for being the best support system and always pushing me to be my best.

although this chapter of my life is ending, the memories, lessons, and love i have for this game will stay with me forever. softball gave me some of the best, and most difficult, years of my life, and i will always be grateful for everything it taught me.

always remember to have agency😉

thank you Lakeland softball,
