Wonderful to join @esydasoccer at Hillandale Local Park for their Family Fun Day and annual medal ceremonies!

ESYDA serves thousands of community members including many East County youth, using soccer as a vehicle for strengthening bonds, improving academic and behavioral outcomes, and connecting families to a range of services. Thank you to @marylandphysicianscare for recently becoming a major sponsor for ESYDA!

Director Hamrawit Tesfa of @montgomerycollege’s new East County Education Center (ECEC) joined the celebrations as well, as we strategize more ways to connect ESYDA youth to higher education opportunities!

We had a great time joining Coach Fofo and the team at Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy (@esydasoccer) and teaching their students how to perform hands-only CPR! We distributed CPR-anytime kits that make it easy to learn CPR on-the-go. We also covered the difference between cardiac arrest and heart attack – and how to respond. Knowing proper CPR techniques is an essential skill, especially on the soccer field.

If you see someone collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. Learn more about how to do CPR at the link in our bio.
