1 year ago, we met at a party during a spontaneous trip to NYC from opposite sides of the world. We walked around a foreign city from 3AM to 8AM, talking, and getting to know each other. A week later, we went to EDC together and decided to pursue a relationship even though we weren’t sure when we were going to see each other again. Today, we are 2 months away from Ethan moving to NY so that we can live together. I love you more than any amount of distance keeping us apart, and I am so excited to start our new life together in the same city we met. ‧₊˚ ☁️ ♡

Those close to me know that it has been my dream for over 10 years to live in the US. As cliche as it sounds, I wanted to experience my “American dream”. But in the past 10 years, I never felt confident or had a competitive edge, so the opportunity never came up. Once I started working, I made it a goal to make it to the US, and with enough ambition, determination and luck, I landed my dream job.

Today, with a heavy heart, I bid farewell to Australia. Sydney holds a special place in my heart, and amidst the ups and downs, it will always be home. Thank you to my family and friends who have been so loving and supportive over the years. I’m really going to miss you all and this beautiful country.
