We’d love your input on this.

We’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many people working in the food insecurity space, and one question comes up often: how do you decide what goes in each pantry?

The truth is, we don’t just stock shelves. We pay attention. We track what’s going in, when it’s going in, and how we can do it better every single time. What are people reaching for? What’s being left behind? Do we need more grab and go options, or are families looking for full meals they can take home and prepare?

One of the biggest things we’ve learned is that every pantry is different. For example, baby food flies off the shelves in some locations, while in others, it barely gets touched. That’s why we’re always listening and adjusting.

So tell us, what would you love to see in a pantry like this? What would actually be helpful for you or someone you know? Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t, but every idea helps us learn.

After a few weeks of “research,” I can confirm the water is still crystal clear, the food is still worth every calorie, and new friends have a funny way of becoming best friends after enough sunsets, ferry rides, and late-night conversations and bottles of wine.

Somewhere between New Orleans and Spetses, I had the privilege of presenting on property law through the stories of Laskarina Bouboulina, Micaela Almonester Pontalba, and Myra Clark Gaines—three remarkable women who proved that ownership is about far more than deeds and title. Their lives were shaped by resilience, legacy, and the determination to claim what was rightfully theirs. It was only fitting to tell those stories in a country where so many of the foundations of Western thought first took root.

Thank you, my wonderful deans and professors for making this a truly unforgettable experience.

Greece, thank you for the memories. The friends are closer, the perspective is broader, and, for anyone who was concerned, the ruins remain very much ruined… Yamas! #locomotion

Grateful for my time with the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and the opportunity to serve as Editor-in-Chief!

I was looking for a real purpose in law school and a chance to be part of something bigger than myself. The Journal allowed me to reach a national audience while still maintaining a local network and community. Each person that I interacted with, whether it was a board member, professor, or fellow candidate, made me feel appreciated, enjoyed, and mentored.

I am excited to have my student comment, “Re-anchoring Rule B Attachment, Quasi in Rem Jurisdiction, and Maritime Banking EFTs” selected for publication and to have my case note on Flores v. Princess Cruise Lines, Ltd. selected as case note competition winner and published in The Current in the next few months.

I know this will be the closest I get to pirates but that’s ok with me⚓️🛥️
