Blue Hawk Wrestling fans help us welcome Ethan Hamlin!! Ethan is from San Antonio, Texas where he was a team captain for Ronald Reagan High School. In his senior season Ethan was a District Champion (Outstanding Wrestler), Regional Champion, and a 2026 6A High School State Placer! He will be another great addition to DSU in the upper weights. Ethan will major in Fire Science this fall.
Why DSU? “I chose DSU for its fire science program, the TR honors program, and a tight-knit wrestling team that is backed by a great coaching staff and the campus felt like home from the moment I stepped on it.”

Had a great weekend of competition! Had 11 competing in two tournaments. 9 placers, 5 reached the finals, 1 brought home gold! Ready to get back to work!

Big shout out to Roland who went into the 3rd period of his 3rd place match down 12-1. Battled back to force OT and take home the bronze!

Another shout out to Dylan who ran into a kid who has gotten the better of him in the past and even in the championship round this weekend. But he faced him again for 3rd place and beat him to also take home bronze.

Both of you demonstrated great heart and grit! Wrestle for the next position, it doesn’t matter what happened last match or even in the last position. Be present and wrestle hard to the whistle! Proud to be one your coaches, all of you!
