What does it actually take to build and run 11 treat shops? 🥤🥨

Today on A Day in the Life | Career Exploration, we shadowed Ethan, founder of @thirstdrinks @ethanfromthirst to see behind the counter, beyond the drinks, and straight into the grit of entrepreneurship.

Did you know? Besides running his storefronts, Ethan also caters private parties, weddings, and massive corporate events!

Here are the behind-the-scenes realities Ethan shared on-site:
🌱 First kid business (proof we all start somewhere): A neighborhood lawn-mowing route! It taught him quoting, invoicing, customer service, and leaving feedback notes on front doors to learn how to improve.

🧪 The "secret formula" for soda recipes: Sitting in a room testing syrups, leveling up favorite flavor concepts to make them higher quality, and winging it based on memories and vibes (like the Frat Star).

📚 School subjects that show up every single day: Math and English/writing. You use them constantly for inventory, recipes, calculating profit, payroll, and team communication.

🚗 Why spend so much time driving between shops? To stay present on the ground. When you open new locations, you have to be there to get to know your teams, know what's happening, and jump in to help before anyone gets into trouble.

🚀 His #1 rule for future founders: Study the businesses around you right now! Watch their marketing, read books about founders who built things, and use modern tech to turn your ideas into reality.

Nothing brightens Ethan’s day more than stopping to chat with his customers—without them, none of this would exist. Just look at the empire he has built: 11 locations, a booming catering business, and amazing team members everywhere you look. Ethan might be a man of many words with the hilarious TikToks to prove it, but at the end of the day, his favorite part of the job is making sure his customers leave happy.

Follow along to see which hands-on career we explore next! 🛠️✨
