The third edition of the Maastricht Place to Stay Festival (@placetostayfestival) was organised in collaboration with the Limburg Film Festival (@limburgfilmfestival) in the Brandweerkantine (@brandweerkantine) last week. As usual, donations were collected for families in Gaza via GHAIM (@ghaim.fundraising).

In a packed room short films were shown by a number of local makers, and afterwards a panel with Tena Ivanetić (@_mustra_) and Shari da Tòs (@sharidatos) and a Q&A session were moderated by Beau Pyka (@beaupyka), who you might know as a host of Student Radio Maastricht (@student.radio.maastricht). Some of the works had the common thread of finding one's place in the world, but the final one shown was a stop-motion short telling the story of a hunter chasing a white rabbit through an enchanted forest!

Stay tuned for the next edition of the Festival.

Join us tonite for untethered, unfettered, uninhibited, undeterred, unhinged, unhashed, untagged, unsensored, unfiltered conversations at the @placetostayfestival featuring musical abstracts from @european.music.collective debut album Sidrabini No. 1! Our host @beaupyka @siren7420 talk to the festival organisers and interview directors and musicians for inspiring insights into the quirks and challenges of organising a short-film festival with live, improvised scores by @european.music.collective at the @griendgarage exclusively on Student Radio Maastricht!

Special thanks to @ghanni_maastricht for helping raise funds for 6 families in Gaza in cooperation with the Place to Stay Festival

Can the space speak for itself?

Artists from Conservatorium Maastricht will provoke these thoughts, as part of the opening ceremony of KAKAMAMA’s symposium THE BOARD HAS DECIDED. 23-24-25 September are building up to an open debate on space for art and art education. Performances, exhibitions, talks, presentations, community dinners are the instruments of dialogue.

De Stuers is a space for art education – until further notice.
