POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

✂️✂️ I had the BEST Saturday in school yet @glassbox.education over the weekend learning how to cut a short rounded layer cut - And got to work on a fresh new Mannequin head! Hats off to the coolest educators @bianka.skol and @ethanquintela 🙏Special thanks as well to my classmates @hewillcutyourhair for helping me film a portion of this reel, and @kel_kuts for the music inspiration! ✂️✂️

A look in the making.

@ethanquintela at work with the Erikson, a cut that comes together one section at a time. Paired with colour by @lalalindzie, it’s a good reminder of what two skilled people can build in the same chair.

What’s the first thing you notice in a cut like this? Drop it below. 👇

Weight and movement, built on purpose.

Cross graduation technique, look how it builds weight into a cut and steers the way the hair moves. Cut with the Soto.

What’s your go-to way of directing movement in a cut? Drop it below. 👇

Attention. When the scissors feel right in the hand, a stylist’s focus stays on the hair and the next decision to make.

That’s what a well-made tool gives you. Room to think about the cut.

What do you focus on first when you pick them up? Drop it below. 👇
