For the past five years, New York City was my battleground and my home.

I got to NYC as a 17 year old with a camera and a dream, and somewhere between the thirteenth rough cut and a freezing january shoot I learned how to create.

I learned so much about preproduction, production and postproduction but above all, I learned grit. NYC grit that I hold super close to my heart.

To every single person I had the honor of working with in New York collaborators, mentors, friends:

THANK YOU TRUSTING ME AND CHALLENGING ME.

That means so so so so much.

Every project shaped me in ways I could never ever ever forget andI will carry pieces of all of you in the way I create now and forever going forward.

I’ve now moved back to India, but I could never leave NYC behind. The grit lives within my work, and it always will.

With this experience, knowledge and most importantly, grit- I’m ready to build an honest, bold, and personal home for me and my work and for me and other authentic storytellers.

Community art day at @irvingsquarepark // @canopy.prod

Yesterday I got together with some talented artists and new friends to create a mural banner for @canopy.prod . It was beautiful to see how many people and organizations came out to create masterpieces for our community. As someone who paints full-time, it’s easy to forget that people just paint to paint. To have fun. And that’s what I got to do yesterday myself for the first time in a while. Feeling so grateful ❤️🫶🏽
