In love with life, Sabs & Gus

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The last two months have been my favorite of the whole year I think. The good has far outweighed the bad and I love that. Also lots of good memories made with @lachambss which is my favorite part.

Between that, wholesome hangs with friends, @portisheadofficial cover shows with @drumetrics, lots of music being made, a garden being grown, a trampoline getting purchased (SO FUN btw), @temple_sd nights, immaculate sunsets and the release of ‘get better’ Idk what else I could ask for.

As promised, let’s talk about the people who made “healing isn’t easy” become a real life thing! Over & over I got to experience people who were a part of this song care for it like it was their own. I can’t even fully explain how loved & seen I feel because of the people & creatives they are, SO GET READY BECAUSE BOY I COULD GO ON & ON ABOUT THEM.

@ethanrounds (co-composer + co-producer) thank you for sitting with me starting at the early stages of this song being a note in my phone, & for all the patience & joy you brought to the process of this song. I’m grateful for the way you championed & breathed life into it alongside me.

@ammchambs (cello + main vocal production) thank you for not only your playing on this song, but the conversations throughout the ENTIRE journey of making it, & for speaking life over it & me when the vulnerability of art started to freak me out. I’m grateful for a friend, creative, & person like you who loves me well & loved this song so well the whole time.

@dj.brennan (violin) thank you for helping establish so much of the identity of this song through your playing & being a voice of encouragement to take this song in what ended up being the perfect direction. I’m beyond grateful for your hand, heart, & mind pouring into this song.

@darwinavalos (bass) thank you for the time, creative energy, & intentionality you put into the way you played & in all of the moments you have encouraged me as an artist & person throughout the creation of this song (& beyond). I’m grateful for your kind words & sweet playing.

@mixedbymichaelleto (perc + mixing engineer) thank you for the care you put into the balance, feel, & heartbeat of this song – all the way down to the details. I’m grateful for your expertise & readiness to bring something to the best & most right place it can be.

@theo.quayle (mastering engineer) thank you for packaging up this song & helping bring it to the finish line.
