Okay but… can we keep Member Appreciation Week forever? 🥹

Truly though, this week was so much fun. The classes, the pop-ups, the little extras… but mostly you.

We’re so lucky to have a community that’s this supportive, this consistent, and this fun.

Same time next year?🧡

HUGE thank you for our partners for making this week possible:

✨ A Chocolate Peanut Butter Love Language Moment 🍫🥜

Someone told me their favorite sweets were chocolate and peanut butter.
That’s it. I was like, “Ummm okay… that’s easy enough.” 😏

So I wanted to do something a little different — a protein-packed chocolate cinnamon roll with peanut butter cream cheese frosting.

Based on my test subjects— I mean, wonderful people — I can officially say this one was a success. 🙌🏾

After they tried it, we ended up having a deep conversation. That’s when I realized something I hadn’t really noticed before… food is definitely one of my love languages. It’s how I show care, how I connect — and honestly, it just feels good to make something that makes someone else smile. 🧡

Yes, it’s vegan 🌱.

Re-Share my reel if intrigued 😘

Today was a bittersweet walk...

To our active duty military and veterans—thank you for your service and sacrifice. Today, we honor you for defending the freedoms that many of us feel slipping away.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Statue of Liberty stood as a beacon of hope to immigrants seeking safety and opportunity in America. But today, my heart is heavy. Ongoing I.C.E. raids throughout the country have left many immigrant families living in fear, and with the federal passage of H.R.1 and today’s budget signing into law, the struggle for human rights has become even more urgent.

As a councilor, I walked today to demonstrate that local leaders are here, we're accessible, and also feeling the weight of injustice. This morning I spoke to many people who are tired, overwhelmed and disheartened...

I encourage you—Keep doing what you can. Turn that energy into civic engagement:
-Reach out to Hillsboro City Council and local legislators

-Speak at public comment

-Engage in the local policymaking process

Thank you Councilor @sabaforhillsboro for organizing today's walk. It was an honor to walk with you and Councilor @crosjua . Proud of Mayor Pace and President Harris who also participated in the parade's lineup with our community.🙏🏼♥️
