Bill Burr / New York, NY / 2026 Check another one off the dream subject list! Bill Burr for Cigar Aficionado. This was a really fun shoot. Bill is one of my favorite comedians, so when I got the email asking if I’d be interested in shooting with him the answer was an immediate yes! The only complication was traveling from work in VT the night before the shoot and flying to Paris the night of the shoot. This is just one of the portraits from this session that the magazine has released so far. More to come!! #billburr @wilfredburr

I recently photographed Jon Bernthal for The Washington Post during the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press junket at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC. Press junkets are always a race against the clock. Limited time, limited space, and not exactly the kind of environment you’d choose for a portrait shoot. The challenge is finding the light, the composition, and the moment before the clock runs out. Jon couldn’t have been a better subject. He was incredibly gracious, completely open to direction (even when I asked him to get in the shower), and ready to jump right in. And the best part? His best friend Bam Bam was along for the ride. I was very happy to get him into the shoot and make a few frames of the two of them together. A few minutes. One hotel room.
