Dolltober Day 16: UNDEAD FRIEND

With a very special guest @etherealgirl.bjd’s new 60cm girl! I am so in love with this sculpt in this scale and cannot wait to add one into my collection! Pre-order opens OCT 24TH, check out @etherealgirl.bjd page for info 🖤

🎃🖤🦇
PLEASE like, comment, share, repost. The algorithm is just getting worse and worse and I could really use the help getting this out there. Even if you don’t plan on participating, maybe someone you know or follows you would like to check it out.

All dolls and toys are welcome to join - but please no recast/bootleg/illegal copies of BJDs.
🦇
While it’s encouraged to try and keep up with the daily prompt it’s absolutely not necessary! You don’t have to do every day/just pick a couple of them to take part in, or you can play catch up if you fall behind.
You can even just do one prompt if that’s all you have time for and/or are really inspired by. Again, it’s all about having spooky fun!

Lastly, you can use hashtags #dolltober #dolltober2026 but please feel free to tag me, mention me, or share via DM so I don’t miss your post! I will be sharing a bunch of them to my stories 🖤

Another gorgeous @etherealgirl.bjd gawd im obsessed...

im really into bleached brows rn, they look so chic! doing her baby hairs was the most painstaking part of this faceup. i drew them in pencil first, then painted over with acrylics. finally i coated them with brush on sealant to add extra protection, as the hairline is often one of the first places a faceup will start to show wear.

This is the fourth transparent @etherealgirl.bjd I've painted. Her color scheme and jewelry are giving my 90's Limited Too aesthetic dreams 😍

Painting these transparent girls girls is a huge challenge(in a good way)! their resin is so vibrant that it swallows up a lot of subtle colors, and their transparency also poses a challenge, because the way light shines through the thinner areas can be unexpected. but these quirks are also the source of their beauty

I did a lot of groundwork to pull off what might look like a deceptively simple faceup:

-First i airbrushed around her eyes, cheek hollows, and jaw with a flourescent green that matches her resin color, to provide opacity to the areas that would normally be shadowed.
-Then i also airbrushed her bright pink blush, since light colored pastels can look chalky on this resin.
-Her lips took like 4 layers to get them this opaque
-I highlighted her with shimmery mica to bring out the high points in her face
-lastly some bling to make her pop even more!
