inspired by Ethr’s Bedouin research Desert Dweller, is an activation created by extensive cultural and historical research, drawing inspiration from the traditional Khaima (Bedouin tent) through a contemporary reinterpretation. Through layered drapes, delicate fabric partitions, and a thoughtful interplay of materials, the activation evokes the spirit of the traditional tent, in dedication to the richness of Emirati heritage. The experience extends beyond space into the realm of taste, where traditional culinary expressions are uniquely embraced through original signature offerings such as Aseeda and Qahwa.

Desert Dweller is designed by Omar Darwish and curated by Shaheer Akbar.

Before timber meets the tide. Sailing Winds begins as a vision shaped by memory, movement, and the language of the coast.

Anchored beneath the Khor Fakkan Amphitheater, it is a rhythmic dialogue between elements, where architecture listens and light moves like water. These first glimpses reveal a world where tradition and contemporary form exist in harmony.

A space imagined as a home, set gently within the Oasis.

Conceived by @ethr.studio, the design unfolds with the warmth of the familiar: a kitchen pantry–inspired bar, relaxed lounges, and casual dining spaces that feel lived in rather than arranged. Custom pendant lights, shaped from natural materials drawn from the Oasis, introduce texture and restraint, while deep wood tones echo the presence of palm trees. Layered greens, rooted in nature and Ethr’s signature palette move softly through the space.

It feels like a farmer’s den: quiet, grounded, and intentional. Where the act of tending extends beyond the land and into the atmosphere itself.

Rendered visions, soon to be lived in at @alainoasis.eh 🌴.

صمّمها إثر ستديو لتعكس روح الألفة والدفء: كوفي بار مستوحى من طاولة التخزين للمطبخ، جلسات مريحة، ومساحات طعام غير متكلّفة تشعرك بأن المكان مأهول لا مُنسّق.
مصابيح معلّقة، مشغولة من مواد طبيعية مستمدة من الواحة، تضيف نسيجًا بصريًا هادئًا ولمسة من البساطة المتزنة، بينما تعكس درجات الخشب العميقة حضور أشجار النخيل.
وتنساب طبقات من اللون الأخضر، المتجذّر في الطبيعة وفي لوحة ألوان إثر المميّزة، برفق في أرجاء المكان.

المكان أشبه بمنزل مزارع: هادئ، راسخ، ومقصود في كل تفصيلة.
حيث تمتد العناية والاهتمام من الأرض ليشملا الأجواء نفسها.

رؤى مُجسَّدة… ستغدو قريبًا واقعًا يُعاش.
