Sometimes, it's choosing to invest in the things that nourish you; physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually.

The truth is, our spending habits often reflect our priorities.
While we all have those random things we hate spending money on 😂, it's important not to neglect the things that help us live well:

Quality food. Movement. Rest. Learning. Preventive healthcare. Peace of mind. Meaningful experiences.

Protecting your overall well-being isn't always about the big, dramatic decisions.

8 years ago, I was simply trying to survive medical school.
Looking back today, I realize that the journey is rarely revealed all at once. Clarity really comes through consistent service.

Over the years, that journey has grown beyond clinical medicine into health advocacy, community outreach, school health education, health systems conversations, and significant partnerships that seek to improve lives one community at a time.

This is a reminder that meaningful impact is built gradually and intentionally.

These are milestones of gratitude. God has brought us thus far.

And…I’m particularly glad to be back 🤭

Yesterday in service, we started a series on "Prayer".
As cliché and mainstream as the subject of prayer is, there is power to prayer and this is supplied by the Spirit.

We also saw that there's a type of prayer, called Supplication, where we stay persistent, fervent and committed till the answers come.

In Supplication, time is not a factor. No, we stay put till we see answers because if God's word has said things about us,supplication is proof that we are ready to contend for a manifestation of all God has said.

It was a truly powerful service and we saw an outpouring and a receiving of the Spirit of grace and supplication upon every one present.

Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of presenting at the Paediatric Society of Ghana (PSG) Maiden Prematurity Conference, sharing a case report that reminds us why early suspicion in newborn care saves lives.

Congenital hypothyroidism in preterm infants is easy to miss. The signs blend into the complications of prematurity, and without intentional screening and clinical alertness, we risk losing these babies to poor developmental outcomes that could have been prevented.

Presenting this case was about advocacy. Advocacy for district-level facilities. Advocacy for better neonatal screening. Advocacy for mothers and babies who depend on the health system to see what they cannot.

Because every small baby deserves a fair start.

This is HealthAfrica 🌍,a voice for the young.

About 1 in 10 babies is born prematurely… that’s 13 million babies every year!
This is the leading cause of death under age 5.
Some complications of being born prematurely are preventable with the right care and proactive steps.

Lend your voice to create awareness on prematurity this November.

IT’s WORLD BREASTFEEDING MONTH

What is exclusive breastfeeding?
It means giving your baby only breast milk for the first 6 months — no food, no water, no other liquids, except prescribed medications. It contains about 70% water and 30% nutrients.

Why it matters:
1. It protects babies from diarrhoea and infections
2. Provides all the nutrients and water a baby needs.
3. Builds immunity and prevents malnutrition.
4. Strengthens mother-child bonding
5. Lowers mother’s risk of breast cancer and helps spacing births naturally.

Spread the word. Tag someone who needs to hear this 💛

If I could bottle the moments of this year, they’d be full of grace, stretching, and sweet reminders that God is enough.

Somewhere between the quiet tears and loud amens, I found friends—souls who love deeply, pray boldly, and reflect Jesus in the softest and strongest of ways.

Through them, I saw God's love walk into the room, sit beside me in silence, and rejoice over me with singing.
It wasn’t in loud miracles, but in shared meals, gentle hugs, unforced prayers, and knowing glances that said, “You’re not alone.”

🌿 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” – Lamentations 3:24
