You can pre-save it at the link in my bio. I’ll have much more to say on this when the album comes out, but I couldn’t have made this without legend @harperjamesx by my side pushing me creatively and always taking an approach of curiosity and care. Or without @maddieregent being my first audience for every song I wrote and encouraging me to keep making time for it and getting it across the finish line. It feels funny calling this my debut album, even though it technically is, because I’ve made so much music over the past 6 years—both for myself and others. But it still has the energy of one to me and is maybe my first fully formed, complete thought as a solo artist. It’s an existential road trip album that’s neither about the departure nor the arrival, and at times it’s even uncertain of the intended or desired destination. When you’re in the car barreling down a highway, there’s a reckless elusiveness from the outside but on the inside it all feels still, outside of the occasional shudder, and everything out the window is a blur. That’s what this album is to me. It’s being in that car. When you’re in the middle of nowhere, you’re never anywhere but where you are. A “loading grid and a you-are-here dot,” if you will. It was long takes and cross fades and crashing waves at sunset. I’m thankful again for our skeleton crew and all the precarious camera situations that were survived in the ocean. And this time we got Maddie out in front of the camera. “Flatearther” out everywhere now🌎🥤 video also out now on YouTube and will post it on here in the morning🎥 There can be freedom in stubbornness and truth in a manufactured reality. Some of us need to sail in a straight line long enough to get back to where we started. For some of those people they need to prove the earth is round, for others they might just like sailing. This is the final single before I put the album out (which I will announce very soon) and it’s also the closing track of the album. I had a blast making this song with @harperjamesx and it might even be in my top 3 favorite records we’ve ever made together. He tried to convince me the world was round but he never had any truly compelling arguments. Ran it back for year two :-) Last week I had the opportunity to try something new. Walking in a fashion week show that me and the team were running media for. After a few days of prep, fittings, and logistics I ducked backstage after flicking up the first few acts, got changed, and walked out with the rest of the gentlemen from @rohn.projects. The subtitle trend lfg this is my fave part of See Me. I love a good bridge and this one is my best imo. Also loved serving face and drama for the video. She’s an avoidant through and through! “Crashland” out everywhere now💥💃🏻🕺🏻 This is a song about refusing to accept that you’re destined for failure until the inevitable, insurmountable disaster finally hits. Enjoy the ride because falling feels like flying ‘til you’re a person puddle on the pavement. This is another one that @harperjamesx and I made together a few years ago and it’s some of the most fun I think we’ve had in the studio together. As usual, he’s a legend- and he crushed the drums especially on this one. It also features a solo on my Moog model D, which is one of the first things I used it for when I first got it.
