Unhoused folks typically feel more invisible than ever during Eugene's annual spring national running event. To make the Eugene Marathon accessible to more people, each year CSS arranges for a group of unhoused clients to participate in the 5K.

Anna, a CSS staff member who has participated alongside clients for the past two years, shares: "It's about more than running--it's an opportunity to belong, connect, and be part of the community they call home."

Fun fact 1: you can sponsor an unhoused individual to participate in the 2027 Eugene Marathon. 🎖️

Fun fact 2: you can raise money for CSS by walking or running on the 2027 CSS Team. 🏃

you might just grow - a lot !

nothing happens overnight but little things and practices over and over again will make the biggest impact!

repetition and consistency is key!

alongside nutrition, sleep, and self belief!!!! ⭐️⭐️

next race is on the calendar - any guesses !?

Eugene Marathon = fast, PR-worthy course this spring! Prices go up on 10/15 and this does sell out. Smaller races have their perks, plus it’s a stunning course and epic finish.

My number one priority is to keep my runners heathy!

I have done a movement assessment and prescribed corrective exercises for Olga and she also does my strength training.

So far I have trained her for @pdxmarathon , @eugenemarathon and now @chimarathon . We are also rolling into 2027 with @venturamarathon training 🥳✌🏼.

It’s officially fall marathon season, so consider this your reminder to SEND THE TEXT. 🥹🤍

Track your friends. Cheer for them from your couch. Blow up their phones. Tell them you’re proud of them. Celebrate every single mile.

I didn’t see a single one of these messages while I was running the London Marathon, but knowing that my girls were following along, cheering me on, and celebrating every mile from thousands of miles away meant more than they’ll ever know.

Running a marathon is a pretty incredible feat, but getting to share it with people who love you makes it even sweeter.

There’s something really special about women cheering for other women.

That’s girlhood. 🫶🏼
