Yes.. we braved Eureka in the school holidays!!🤯

There was so much to do! We learnt a lot while playing and exploring, and had an overall great day with our friends @leeds_nanny 💙

G2 was fascinated in every room she went in, especially the “all about me” gallery!🧠👂🦾
Although, she said her favourite was the roleplaying rooms, like the shop, garage and kitchen.

Just like The Deep and Thackeray Museum, when you order tickets for Eureka you get a annual pass🤩

Are you even a child of Yorkshire if you've not been to the icon that is @eurekamuseum at least once?! It's been 20+ years since Luke & I visited as small children and yesterday the tiny one was introduced for the very first time! It's safe to say she had an absolute blast (and Mummy and Daddy were absolutely worn out by the time we got home 😴)! Swipe to see what we got up to... oh and for an aesthetic train photo 😎➡️

@eurekamuseum has always been on the list of places we NEED to go - and last week, we did just that, and we were not disappointed! 😁

There are tonnes to do at The National Children's Museum, with lots of interactive exhibitions to learn through play 🙌

Ava spent most of the visit in the Town Square, which had an M&S store, Halifax Bank and Royal Mail Post Office, to role play and have fun. She also dragged Sofia to play "big cook little cook" in the home kitchen, where she took her role as big chef very seriously 👩‍🍳

The staff were fantastic, joining in with the children and making delicious recipes with some questionable food combinations 🤭

Sofia loved the projector fish on the floor, trying to catch them with her hands 🐟

Eureka! is in Halifax and around a 50-minute drive from Manchester (M44). You pay once, and you receive an annual pass, meaning you can visit for FREE for a whole year! 🤩

With so much to do and see, with lots of hosted events throughout the year, we will be back 😌

A little snippet of our visit to @eurekamuseum for the Home educator event, it was amazing!

Every time we’ve visited Eureka Elliott’s been drawn to a different section. There are hundreds of interactive exhibitions to chose from.
This particular day he spent most of his time in the town square which has an M&S, Halifax bank and Royal Mail post office. A member of the team promoted Elliott to bank manager, he took his role very seriously.
The staff are fantastic they made Elliott feel very important 🥰

We made tote bags it was so much fun and lovely to see Elliott so proud of his creativity.
I would recommend this place to anyone (this isn’t an ad btw) we just love it here!
You pay once then receive an annual pass we must’ve been at least half a dozen times and still haven’t seen every exhibition there’s so much to do so if you do decide to visit get there early.

The train station is on site so it’s easy to get there too which is a bonus.

Happy Wednesday 💕

Today we went to Eureka the national children’s museum and decided to vlog our trip. It’s been a lovely day and it brings back memories from when I went as a child too 😍

Have you ever been? We really loved it and Freddie didn’t want to leave 🤩

Our first stop for our Yorkshire staycation was to this really cool, hands on children’s museum! If your kids love touching stuff and finding out how things work then they’ll love it here 😍

We learnt all about our senses, we discovered sounds with an alien, we played in the water, we shopped in a little miniature M&S, we withdrew money from a cash point, we nearly got caught trying to steal gold in the bank vault, we brushed the giant teeth, we stuck our head up a giant nostril, we discovered how your body digests food 🤭

Plus so much more, there is so much to do here! 😍

But the best thing is after you’ve payed for your first visit you can visit as much as you like for the next 12 months absolutely free. Gutted we don’t live closer 😮

We were there for a good 4 hours, there’s also a theatre for shows for the over 5’s. There’s an on site cafe with lots of hot food and snack options. Lots of space for a picnic including by a massive sandpit outside the front of Eureka, perfect for a sunny day ☀️

Eureka has its own car park but it is pay and display, cost is £3.40 for 4 hours. There is also a train station right next door 🚂
