LOOK HOW FAR BOMBAY HAS COME. 🥹💙 HE is MORE THAN READY for his FOREVER HOME🙏❤️ Look at that first photo. Then look at him now. Bombay is only around 2–2½ years old, but he came to the shelter after already experiencing a hard life of severe neglect, suffering from mange, significant hair loss and painful, unhealthy skin. 💔 He had been through more than any dog should have to experience in such a short life. But Bombay kept going. And we promised him we would too. ❤️‍🩹 With time, treatment, consistency and LOTS of love, his skin has healed, his hair has almost completely grown back, and that scared, neglected boy has blossomed into the happiest, goofiest, most loving dog. Now we need all of Bombay’s hard work to pay off. HE IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME. 🏡💙 🐾 Male • approx. 2–2½ years old ✂️ Neutered ❤️ Heartworm negative 🐶 Dog friendly 👧 Kid friendly 🏡 House/crate/potty trained ✈️ Available for IN-STATE & OUT-OF-STATE adoption Bombay has fought through the hard part. Now it’s time for the BEST part — FOREVER. His family is out there. We just have to help them find him. 🥹 Please SHARE • TAG • REPOST • ADVOCATE for Bombay. Let’s show this sweet boy that all of his hard work is going to pay off. The next transformation photo we want to share is Bombay HOME with his forever family. 🏡❤️ 🐾 BOMBAY’S ADOPTION PROFILE: https://fultonanimalservices.com/pet-details/?aid=60755841&cid=97&tid=Dog ✨ Learn more about our fosters & rescues, adopt, support & help us save more lives: https://linktr.ee/NicolesFostersandRescues #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #adoptme #rescuedog #nicolesfostersandrescues

🐾 DON’T JUDGE A DOG BY THEIR SHELTER KENNEL. 🐾 Have you ever had a bad day? Felt restless, frustrated, overwhelmed and just READY to get out? Now imagine feeling that way while living in a shelter kennel. Some dogs may spend 3, 4, 5, even 6 days without leaving it. No walk. No yard. No break from the barking, noise, smells and stress. Then someone FINALLY comes to meet them, the kennel door opens, and suddenly they’re expected to make the perfect first impression. Maybe they jump. Pull. Bark. Seem nervous. Or completely ignore you because they’re just SO happy to finally be outside. And within minutes someone decides: “Not the dog for me.” But please… give them a minute. ❤️ Some of my favorite fosters — dogs YOU all ended up loving, sharing and cheering for — did not make the perfect first impression either. Some were jumpy. Nervous. Standoffish. Overly excited. They just needed time to breathe. And then they blossomed. 🌸🐾 My Taka is the perfect example. ❤️ Taka was going to be medically euthanized the next day. He was huge, covered in scars, cuts and masses. No one wanted him. No one even asked to meet him. When I did, he didn’t run to me. He wasn’t affectionate. He stayed off to the side, quiet and disconnected. I remember thinking, “Maybe this dog just doesn’t like me.” But my nephew was determined we were saving Taka. So I gave him a chance. Thank God I did. That huge scarred-up dog nobody wanted became my soul dog (Prince not included 😂), my nephew’s best friend, everyone’s favorite and one of the greatest dogs of my life. If I had judged Taka by those first few minutes, I would have missed out on knowing him. And Taka might not be here today. ❤️ One of these dogs could be THAT dog for you. One of them could be someone’s Taka. 🚨 14 DOGS AT DEKALB COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES + 11 AT FULTON COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES ARE PAST DEADLINE TODAY. 🚨 They need people to SHOW UP TODAY AT 11AM. Foster. Adopt. Rescue. Share. If you can’t foster or adopt, SHARE. REPOST. COMMENT. BOOST. ADVOCATE. Don’t judge a dog by their shelter kennel. Get to know the dog behind it. 🐾❤️ #a

I can sit. I can stay. I can also turn into a tiny kangaroo whenever the situation calls for it. 🦘 If you’ve been looking for a dog with a few extra tricks (and a lot of personality), I’m still accepting forever family applications. ❤️ #adoptiris #rescuedog #carolinadog #adoptdontshop #kangaroo

Every day, I sit here and wonder… Is today the day my forever family finds me? I’ve done everything asked of me. I learned to trust again. I learned what it feels like to be safe. I learned that people can be kind. Now all I’m waiting for is someone to choose me. If you can’t be that person, maybe you know someone who can. Please share my story. My forever family may not follow this page, but they might follow you. 🐾 Carolina Dog ❤️ About 2–3 years old 🏡 Adult home 🐕 Best as your one-and-only dog (dog selective); not cat tested 📍 Santa Clarita, CA (L.A. County) Love, Iris

PREVIOUS URGENT DOG WALDEN RETURNED TO Dekalb County Animal Services in less than ONE WEEK. 💔 Just last week, so many of us were celebrating because Walden made it out of the shelter. Less than a week later, he was returned. ‼️ Now, his future is uncertain. Walden is currently “on hold,” so he will not appear on the shelter’s website like the other available dogs—even if you search for him. He won’t be seen unless we make sure he is. 📣 ADVOCATE FOR WALDEN NOW. ‼️You have a voice. Be his voice‼️ Please help make sure he still has the opportunity for the future he deserves. When I met Walden, I met a happy, playful dog with puppy-like energy, so much potential, and so much hope. ❤️ This is one of my favorite photos of him with his little red ball. The reason I shared this picture last month when I posted him is I think it says everything. Just look at this face. I saw a good young dog who needed structure, consistency, exercise, and patience. 🚨 BEFORE YOU SAY “YES”… STOP AND ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS. Be honest with yourself. Have this conversation with yourself—and with everyone in your household. If you can’t honestly answer “yes” to these questions, it may not be the right time—or the right dog. That’s okay. The goal is to give every dog the best possible chance to succeed. 🐾 Can I realistically commit to the 3-3-3 guideline and give this dog time to adjust? (Walden was returned in less than a week. Every dog is different, but many shelter dogs need time to decompress before their true personality shines through.)🐾 Is this dog truly the right fit for my home, lifestyle, and family? 🐾 Have I spent time getting to know this dog and their needs? 🐾 Am I saying “yes” because I’m truly prepared—or because my heart is breaking for this dog? 🐾 Does everyone in my household understand and support bringing a dog home? 🐾 Do I realistically have the time every day for exercise, training, structure, and decompression? STAND BY WALDEN STAND WITH WALDON! Let’s get him the chance he deserves

🐾 Meet Rocco! 🐾 This is Rocco. He’s big. He’s tall. But he’s really no trouble at all. He likes little walks. He likes long naps. He’d much rather cuddle… …than chase after cats. He’s gentle. He’s sweet. He’s happy to meet Every dog. Every kid. Every person he greets. His tail goes thump. His smile says, “Hi!” His favorite thing? Just being nearby. He came from the shelter. He needed a chance. Now he’s hoping… for one last happy dance. A home with a couch. A family, too. A forever best friend… Could that be you? ❤️ 🐾 Senior sweetheart 🐾 Dog friendly 🐾 People friendly 🐾 Kid friendly 🐾 House trained 🐾 Leash trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Low-key, loving, and ready for forever Don’t let the big head fool you… it’s mostly full of love. 🥹❤️ Adopt Rocco today… because every “once upon a time” deserves a forever love. 📖🐾 Link here https://fultonanimalservices.com/pet-details/?aid=61167094&cid=97&tid=Dog or contact me today for more information & to set up a meet and greet #AdoptRocco #SeniorDogsRock #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #ShelterDog

💙 STOP. PLEASE SEE SIXTON. 💙 Sixton is now at risk at Fulton County Animal Services, meaning he is only days away from being placed on the urgent list. 💔 Dog friendly 💔 Cat friendly 💔 Kid friendly 💔 Loves people 💔 Potty trained 💔 Crate trained The complete package is running out of time. He needs a foster, adopter, or rescue NOW. 📍 Fulton County Animal Services 🐾 Adopt Sixton: https://fultonanimalservices.com/pet-details/?aid=61054603&cid=97&tid=Dog ⬇️ His story… ⸻ PLEASE READ! PLEASE HELP GET THIS BOY INTO A FOSTER HOME, FOREVER HOME, OR RESCUED & into foster. PLEASE! Sixton is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. The only reason he’s back at the shelter is because his foster had to make room for a longtime court-case dog who was finally released and now needs surgery and a safe place to recover. It had nothing to do with Sixton. He did everything right. His foster is one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. She spends multiple days every week at Fulton County Animal Services fostering, walking dogs, helping with the court-case dogs, and quietly doing whatever is needed. She would never ask for recognition, and she would never ask for help. But today… I’m asking, I am BEGGING, ALL of YOU to please HELP SIXTON. The shelter has taken a toll on him. Sometimes the stress becomes so overwhelming that he spins in his kennel. It isn’t aggression. It isn’t reactivity. It’s a gentle, loving dog trying to survive an environment that has become too much for him. Please help give Sixton the ending he deserves. PLEASE Foster. Adopt. Rescue. Share. Let’s get him home. 💙 #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #rescuedog #cutedog #rescuedogs

I’ve decided there are a few things I’ll need when I find my forever family: 🐾 Someone to love. 🐾 A comfy spot on the couch. 🐾 Daily walks. 🐾 Someone to play ball with. 🐾 And…this little red ball. 🔴 It belonged to Bianca, my foster family’s beloved dog who crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. While I’ve been waiting for my forever family, it has become my favorite toy. I carry it everywhere I go. P.S. Hypothetically speaking…if a certain little red ball happened to disappear on adoption day, do you think anyone would notice? Asking for a friend. 🤭 ❤️, Iris ❤️ #AdoptIris ❤️ #AdoptDontShop ❤️ #RescueDog ❤️ #DogsOfInstagram ❤️ #ForeverHomeWanted
