ARMARIUM MIRABILIUM Translating from Latin to “Cabinet of Curiosities,” the exhibition draws inspiration from collections of objects assembled before their categorical boundaries had been clearly defined. Originally referring to entire rooms rather than pieces of furniture, these cabinets brought together the strange, the beautiful, and the unexpected. We’ve transformed Ptolemy into a contemporary cabinet of curiosities, bringing together works that challenge the boundaries of what art is, what it isn’t, and how it can be experienced. Come curious! Join us at @ptolemy.world for the opening of Armarium Mirabilium, a group exhibition presented by Plum Gallery! Stone. Wood. Ceramic. Steel. Five artists in "Exposed 2026" reveal just how much a material can communicate. M. Julian Isaacson carves Vermont marble into a reflection on the strength and tenderness of the bond between mother and child. Scott Boyd inscribes endangered writing systems into endangered Vermont ash, exploring language as memory, identity, and cultural survival. Marcel Regueiro transforms marble into abstract forms inspired by the natural world. Eva Tellier uses ceramics and organic materials to imagine new possibilities for bodies and identities beyond conventional ideas of femininity. Christopher Yockey transforms reclaimed industrial I-beams into a composition balancing movement, repetition, structure, and instability. Different materials. Different perspectives. Five ways of asking what sculpture can communicate. 📍 Discover their works throughout Stowe as part of Exposed 2026, on view through October 17. @gostowe @stoweartsandculture #stoweartsandculture #Exposed2026 #ContemporarySculpture #TheCurrentVT #PublicArt #OutdoorSculpture #VermontArt #ArtInVermont #StoweVT

Born in France, she later moved to Montreal, Canada, where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Fiber and Material Practices at Concordia University in 2020. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2025. Tellier has shown her work internationally in Europe, Canada and the United States. She lives and works in New York City where she has recently ended a residency at SculptureSpace NYC and was a recent artist fellow at the Museum of Art and Design. Inspired by the anatomies of hard- and soft-bodied species and the polymorphism of nature, Tellier’s work explores tensions between natural forms and human-made processes of modification, mimicry, and control. Drawing on queer theory, the monstrous feminine, and gothic fiction, the work becomes a speculative investigation of alternative aesthetic codes, challenging expectations of the body, femininity, and beauty. photos by @artdocchicago

Throughout the summer, “With Whipped Cream Frosting” was part of “Synergies: Hybrid Art”, alongside a group of remarkable art pieces. The exhibition highlighted work that merges artistic disciplines, material, and technologies to create innovative forms of expression. Very grateful to the jurors @amylemairestudio and @nicolas_touron as well as @artmuseumnb for this opportunity!

Thank you Emma Grimes for this thoughtful review on "Under the Skin" in @autremagazine. Today is the final day to see the show! "Abject Bodies Populate a Six-Woman Show at Asya Geisberg Gallery in New York," by Emma Grimes, August 13, 2026 "The archetype of the monstrous feminine is front and center in Under the Skin, a group show that brings together six artists whose work examines the female body in relation to the genre of horror [...] In films such as Carrie or Alien, one can argue that the monstrous feminine was broached to be confronted and then controlled, contained, exiled, or punished. But in this photograph from Sue de Beer of an adolescent grotesquely splitting in half, one only finds sympathy. [...] The works on view from Haynes, Kudlow, Tellier, and de Beer—in addition to Katherine Hubbard and Carly Ries—interrogate the archetype without trying to contain or even condemn it. In this way, Under the Skin significantly contributes to the way we think about the female body, how we inhabit it, what we consider abject, and, most importantly, what we do with it." Eva Tellier’s sculptures combine skin-like materials, such as silicone, hair, and structures made from hollow clay tubes that evoke porous skin. The artist cuts and carves into the clay to offer speculation for bodies and identities beyond dominant narratives of femininity, invoking the monstrous feminine most literally. @eva_tellier_ Final week to see “Under the Skin” on view through Aug 14! Thank you @jerrysaltz for this review of “Under the Skin” in @nymag! “16. See Under the Skin—Fleshy power. Asya Geisberg Gallery, through August 14. Body horror has become one of contemporary art’s favorite metaphors, but this group show earns its unease. Bodies split, leak, and multiply. Paintings, sculpture, and photography are on hand as artists turn flesh into the site of vulnerability and power. Some works unsettle more than they explain, and that’s enough. —J.S.” Sue de Beer, Clarity Haynes, Katherine Hubbard, Alison Kudlow, Carly Ries, Eva Tellier July 9 - August 14, 2026 @sue_debeer @alesbiangaze #KatherineHubbard @alisonkudlow @carlyries @eva_tellier_
