La Kiki House of Rivera nasce nel 2025 da quello che è il progetto @ballrhome che ha sempre avuto come finalità quello di raccogliere fondi per la casa famiglia LGBTQIA+. Il suo fondatore @zorba.rivera, sulla base di tutto ciò, ha raccolto a sé persone della comunità romana che potessero rispecchiare a pieno i valori del progetto, che sono a loro volta i valori della house: supporto diretto e costante, attenzione per le esigenze e diversità altrui e consapevolezza ed impegno politico. Sylvia Rivera è stata una delle portavoci della prima battaglia in assoluto (i moti di Stonewall) in nome della nostra comunità e della nostra libertà, il motivo per cui portiamo avanti questa battaglia e per cui la Ballroom Scene ha bisogno di libertà di espressione, di ascoltare ma soprattutto di dare voce a chi ne ha più bisogno. Siamo orgogliosə di condividere questi valori con il resto della scena🦋 The Kiki House of Rivera takes form in 2025 from the @ballrhome project that has always aimed at raising funds for the LGBTQIA+ family home. On this basis, its founder @zorbarivera gathered individuals from the roman community who could fully embody the values of the project, which mirror the values of the house: direct and constant support, attention to the needs and diversity of others and political awareness and commitment. Sylvia Rivera was one of the spokeswomen for the first ever battle (the Stonewall riots) in the name of our community and our freedom, the blueprint of the whole community, the reason for which we carry this battle on and for which the Ballroom Scene needs freedom of expression, to listen but especially to give a voice to who needs it the most.
